F I R S T P O S T O F 2 0 1 2

The first week of 2012 had gone passed.
Nothing special, nothing new.
Everything still seems pretty normal like 2011.
But, I wish to do something to make it a special year, 2012.

Time to set some resolutions.

Learn Korean language!
I've been watching so much Korean dramas and Running Man that makes me feel like picking Korean so that I can understand and even pick in their language.

Go Korea!
If Resolution 1 is successful, then it will be useful over here! That's the whole point of learning it! I wanna see snow. I wanna ice ski! I have never been to a super cold country before and hopefully this year will be the one! :)

Get a car license!
I'm 21 and going 22 this year. It is about time to get a license even though my family don't owns a car. Hopefully March or April can start taking BTT.

Put on braces!
I went for consultation but somehow the feeling of having braces is not as strong now. However, it has always been on my mind. 80% determined! I just need to go for a regular dental check up, prepare the money and I'm all ready to go! But, I'm still very afraid of the pain, plucking of my two teeth....

Find myself a boyfriend - Does this even count as a resolution?? Haha :)
I haven't been wishing to have boyfriend for the past few years, at least for 4 years. Now, I feel that it's time to have one, but then again, even if I want, doesn't mean that I will have one right?! So, wish me goodluck! :)

The above five are the ones that I WISH to achieve by this year!
They are definitely more realistic than "Sliming down"this kind of resolution which I can never achieve! Hahaha :) But I'll still TRY slimming down thou.
Studying, getting a degree is another thing that I've been wanting to achieve. It might be too hard to do it this year. I'm not ready for it and still very lost of what I really like or love enjoy doing.
I got no preference to my current job. No hates or dislike. No love or passion for it too. I got to find out what I really like before going into study!

Okay, enough said.

I wish everyone had a good start for 2012. I had a good start anyway! Spending my last day of 2011 and first few hours of 2012 with Besties and their boyfriends. The remaining hours on 1st Jan with Girlfriends. Awesome friends! Will try to upload photos here if I can.
Anyway, I have FINALLY received my new laptop for work. At least I can work faster and no more blue screens for me! Good start for the year!

GOODBYE 2011

Every year just fly pass so quickly...
What have you accomplished for this year?

For me, biggest accomplishment will be getting a full time employee position in Symantec.
Since graduation, I have not been working long in any company. Symantec is the third company and I'm happy that I did it on my own. First job, last April, worked in DP Group through Chris. Second job, last June, worked in Ready Mortgage through Vonne & Singyee. After quitting from Ready Mortage, I started finding jobs online, going interviews alone & finally got a contract position in Symantec. After working as a contract staff for 8 months, I found a chance to hop over to another team for a full time position. It's good, really good & happy. I have lovely team mates, Michelle, Jiahui, Lynette & Ken in Singapore with me! :)
Having a secure job meaning financial stability in some way... which is good for me.

It will be none other than the eight days in Taiwan!
Best Days! Missing every moments of it...
I have been wanting to go Taiwan but I didn't really see myself going this year because I really don't have much savings... And after the trip makes me really poor but totally worth it! :)

Major decision in 2011
Signed up for Prudential savings cum insurance plan.
It is not just going to be a decision impacting my life in 2011 but also for probably the next 10years? Hopefully.
I know I couldn't save, so I just have to force myself to save!

This year got to be the year I had attended MOST 21ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!
Starting from Jiaqi (July), my own 21st (Aug), Vonne, Singyee, Yvonne (Oct), Fennie (Nov), Yinghui (Dec).

I'm Twenty-One now. I'm a grown up.
I need to come up with some plans for 2012. Many things in mind that I wanna accomplish for the next year but money has always been an issue. I'll share my New Year Resolution 2012 on this space in a few days time.

Today, 31st Dec 2011, I'm gonna spend it AWESOME! Going to meet up besties & their bfs for a steamboat session & X'mas gift exchange!
Everyone should spend it happily be it with your friend, family or your love ones!

This is gonna be the second last post for 2011.
In fact, it can be the last one, but I just want to separate this post with another post about 2011.

I had a lonely Christmas Eve this year. Staying at home watching 6 hrs of dramas. What to do? Friends not in Singapore, friends celebrated with their boyfriend.... NO more lonely eve please.
Christmas Day itself, I went out with Yinghui & Vonne for a dinner at Soup Restaurant, AMK, followed by desserts at Anderson's Ice Cream. Laughed and joked around a little & headed home.

Post Christmas? This is what I'm going to share! Something better than staying home, going just AMK for dinner...

I met up with Huifen to catch Alvin & The Chipmunks 3!

A happy and funny movie! I love Theodore, extremely cuteeee!

After movie, we went to H&M to check out the dress I wanted.

Sadly, it's just fated not to be mine because the size I wanted ran out.

It's okay, there is always something else I can get! Soooo... I got myself a bag!

My second bag from H&M! LOVE IT! :)

There were some sales going on for H&M and saw this cute jacket below!

So lovely please! I just couldn't think of where I can wear it to other than Genting based on my financial status now.

If I'm going Korea, I will definitely want to get this! It's just $50, not too expensive! Wait till I go Korea............ when?!?!

Okay, anyway so after H&M, I suggested a dinning place.

A place that I always wanted to try out.

IPPUDO @ Mandarin Gallery

We reached at around 6.20 pm, but we only managed to get a seat near to 7.15 pm.

I think we reached quite early but the queue had already started.

Ippudo don't take any reservations as well, so be prepared to queue at least 45 min during dinner time!

All we could do while waiting is to take pictures...

Karaka-men (spicy ramen) $17

The noodles were soft & nice. Soup was alright.

There are different kind of soup base so probably will give it a try next time.

The other kind of soup base might be more impressive! :)

Comparing this to Tampopo, I will still prefer Tampopo- my all time favourite place for ramen.

Crispy Chicken Fuujin or Raijin $12

I'm not sure if this is the correct name but seeing the online menu, this is the closest.

It has a star or some "recommended" icon on the menu.

This is a MUST TRY.

The skin is crispy and the chicken is so tender!!!

Between the lettuce and chicken is some yummy mayonnaise and drizzled with some sweet sauce on top!

Be warned, the serving is really small. It's just half or 3/4 of Shilin XXL chicken & it cost $12!

Doesn't come with any rice. It's an ala-carte.

Ippudo Rice Ball $4

Minced chicken and mushroom were rolled in together with the rice forming the rice ball!

I love the chewy rice! Yummy :)

Mini Cream Puff $5

Not the soft and fluffy kind that I like.

The skin is harder, the cream is not those that will be oozing out....

Ippudo is a nice Japanese restaurant serving very nice food but expensive.

Probably I should put it in this way...

The prices on menu doesn't seems expensive ($10~$20) but the serving is small for ala-carte so you might need to order a few more dishes to fill your stomach and thus the expensive bill!

No matter what, Ippudo will still be added to one of my favourite dinning places in Orchard.

GO TRY IT OUT! :)

The Marmalade Pantry

OMG!

Where is this crazily dark road leading us to?

Yes, that was the road to The Marmalade Pantry @ The Stables!

Scary road with totally no street lamps & something funny happened on the way.

The taxi driver somehow sounded like we were going to rob him when we told him to stop at a roadside so that we can check for the direction.... LOL!

Anyway, after going through all the darkness, we finally reached! :)

Marmalade Pantry is a restaurant with really nice ambience.

I should say for high class "tai-tai". We are not tai tai anyway, we went there because we bought the deal online! Heehee! 40% off leh! :)

Definitely not gonna be a cheap meal to dine there, but quality assured! :)

Conclusion is....

Initially the Caramel Bread Pudding tasted really normal, but in comparison with the other two, it's the nicest because you won't get sick of it easily.

Anyway, Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake and Chocolate Fudge Cake were good too! :)

I looked damn shagged on that day..... Hais, not a good day to take photo :(

There're Alfresco dinning area too!

You can have a drink or something there will be nice! :)

Sadly, Fify couldn't join us. She was one of the people who said wanted to dine at Marmalade Pantry.

I wouldn't mind going there again but not the one at The Stables (Fairways Drive), probably just choose the Ion outlet!

Overall, the food were good. I love the risotto & carbonara & desserts!

However, it is too expensive for a casual dinner on a normal day, a celebration for some events or birthday will be good! :)

I hope to explore more dinning places :)

Symantec X'mas Lunch 2011

Today, 23rd December 2011 marks the day for Symantec X'mas Lunch & Gift Exchange! :)

Very excited over the food we are gonna have and whether the person who gets my gift will like it or not... Anyway so here we go!

Thanks to my colleague who helped in all the ordering of food.

I really didn't had so much space in my stomach to eat/try ALL.

I skipped the salads.

I'll tell you what's good:

Smoked Sze Chuan Salmon, Half Shell Mussel with Mango, Baked Scallop, Chocolate Fudge Cake

Those I did not list doesn't mean that they are not yummy, just that I didn't try.

Like the Prawn, I believed it's good but I'm lazy to peel.

Anyway, the fudge cake was really good! I had 4-5 of it!!! I practically finish up what was left in the box!

Potato with Bacon Bits (it doesn't seem to be in the menu & I got no idea why!)

Totally got no idea what's this, it's not in the menu either!

Anyway it's something like Chicken (shredded) Pie.

Honey Glazed Chicken Ham with Pineapple Sauce :)

Yummy with the refreshing pineapple sauce!

Roast Beef.

It came in a huge chunk and we spent sooo much effort trying to cut into pieces!

Even when it came in pieces, it was still too hard! :(

Yinghui 21st Birthday Celebration

Yinghui didn't want a big celebration

so......

Vonne, Yongquan, Singyee, Weekiat, Jiaqi, Yinghui and of cos MYSELF, met up for a simple dinner followed by some activities.

Initially wanted to had dinner at Ippudo but sadly they don't take reservations, so we changed to Antoinette @ Mandarin Gallery which DOESN'T take reservations as well but as least we can have both main courses and desserts there!

We waited for an hour when there are only about 3 groups of people in front of us. That is because the place is really small and their furnitures are so huge and are taking up too much space.

Anyway, here we go! ...

And very nice environment too! :)

Vonne, Yongquan, Jiaqi and myself went into the place first as there are 4 empty seats.

The rest waited outside till another table of people left...

The two of them were bickering about small random stuff... Zzz...!

Finally Singyee, Weekiat and Yinghui joined us!!! :)

We can start ordering food!

According to Singyee and Weekiat, the one at Lavender is better in terms of environment.

And, Lavender outlet takes reservations! However, the reservation for that Saturday was full so stick to Mandarin Gallery outlet.

I didn't know the pasta is not Spaghetti or Linguine but some weird pasta...

Anyway, first taste it was nice but a few more pieces, you will feel very 'jerlat'.

Another special pasta... more like lasagna.

Seafood Aglio Olio, a safe choice.

Salted Caramel Macaroons, not awesome.

The macaroon is too hard but the filling is not bad thou.

My verdict: Go have desserts at Antoinette but probably not main courses.

The main courses are definitely not cheap, ranging from at least $20 and above.

The pasta are just too ordinary. There are definitely better ones out there!

The crepes we had cost around $16 each, not cheap as well but at least it's yummy!

She spent a lot of effort for birthday. Know why?

My cousin posted this video & didn't thought I will be watching the whole of it.

I wanted to share it on Facebook but just felt I had too much to say to be written on FB.

Grinding away your bones? Crazy! Even if you had a change physically but deep down you are still born as a male!
And I truly respect the anorexic lady. She used her last bit of her life to stop people from being anorexic! She's just 29 when she died, isn't it such a pity?

Appearance is important but I believe it is not E V E R Y T H I N G.

There is always Inner Beauty which is much more important than Appearance.

Car Wash Day, A Day To Remember

Just a quick update on how I spent my Friday night.
It was a really great night spending with Singyee, Yinghui, Jiaqi, Vonne & Yongquan.
Thanks Singyee for suggesting & bringing us to Lavender Food Square/Court for dinner.
We had yummy Frog Leg Porridge, Lala & 菜谱蛋 "cai pu dan"!
The Lala was not worth mentioning BUT the 菜谱蛋 ........ OMG DELICIOUS!
It wasn't like normal one whole piece of fried egg. It was more like scrambled egg and topped with garlic! I never really like garlic but it was so crispy and tiny that I just ate it without even bother picking it out!
Frog Leg Porridge is super yummy too & I totally loved the sauce!

OH . . .
Anyway it was such a coincidence that I bumped into Yvonne over there! OMG! I can never imagine seeing her there. Lavender Food Square is not like town where everyone will go... But I just so happen to see her there! Really my FA mate... Hahaha :)

Vonne & Yq left for a party after dinner, leaving four of us & we decided to have dessert at Salted Caramel, Thomson.
What's Salted Caramel without Salted Caramel ice cream???
Sadly, salted caramel ice cream was sold out, baileys as well... :(
I had peanut butter & strawberry flavours instead. I liked the peanut butter. It was thick and creamy. But I don't really like the strawberry, tasted kinda 'bland'...
Their brownie was soft, very good too!
Got to thank Jon who dropped by & treated ALL of us to ice cream! Whoohoo! :)

After all foodies, time to burn off some calories so we did a CAR WASH for Singyee's car!!!

It was quite interesting & not that bored with friends doing it together.
We were jokingly saying every 25th Nov will be a Car Wash Day, so let's see who will remember!
That is also one of the reason why I'm blogging today, just so if I happen to forget the Car Wash Day, at least there is somewhere I can 'refer' to.
I hope I'll remember this day thou.

So that's really about it. I will really want to go back Lavender Food Square for the yummy egg. And if I happen to be back there, I must take a picture of it to share on my blog!

VONNE'S 21ST

I've been away from my blog for quite some time. I had been spending a lot of time watching Running Man. Tonight, feeling restless due to Fennie's 21st party last night... & finally decided to do a short update for Vonne's 21st.

I attended THREE 21st birthday parties in October, so here's one of those.

Vonne's 21st was held at Aloha Loyang, the one near Downtown East.

The place was huge, with 4 rooms, a living room and a kitchen.

We helped her with her decorations, blowing and putting up the balloons and etc..

One of the reasons I loved attending party is because of FOOD! Endless yummy food! :)

Anyway, today marked the last time I went for facial at Bioskin. Although I really wish to continue but I need MONEY to do that.... I will definitely miss the therapist, Ivy. She has such good skills making me really want to sign up another facial package. If I have the money, I will definitely want to be back at Bioskin for facial! :)

The food was alright but not awesome.

This was the same catering for Lynette's 22 birthday & it was great the other time but probably I just made some wrong choices for the food. Probably I should choose more fried & chef recommended dishes.

Sweet & Sour Drumlet. I didn't like this.

Salad Prawn. This was everyone's favourite! Super yummy! Those who came late didn't actually have a chance to taste it! I personally liked it very much as well! :)

Initially I thought Salad Prawn was like fried tempura prawn with mayonnaise, but it's not, even nicer!

People always say the birthday person won't have the chance to eat a lot, but not for my case!

My plate was full!!! Vonne just "kiap" non-stop! Hahaha! :)

Another PRESENT TIME!!!

Super huge & heavy present from girlfriends!

The Hello Kitty lock which signified I'm 21!!!

Before opening the present, I had to find the key for the lock!

Obviously I can just opened the present even without the key but I still had to play along with it.

SOOOOO, I was like a fool trying to search for the key!

Even Singyee played along to bluff me, Zhiming acted as if he had the key....

After all the searching, the key was actually stick onto one of the alphabets from the 'HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY' decoration that was on the wall!!!

Rayne started giving clues about the present & making me guess AS USUAL!

I really got no idea what they have gotten for me as didn't need anything.

Only until Fennie said, with this thing, nobody will snatch chocolates with me THEN I guessed that it might be a mini fridge. However, I still find it kinda impossible because if it's a fridge, it should be like square or those really small kind. But the present is LONG... !

So, I finally started unwrapping it...

TADAH! I love the "paparagi" telephone booth mini fridge!

It is not a need or a want but definitely good to have one!!!

Because I have been complaining of my younger brother stealing my chocolates!!!

I always have to hide my food in the kitchen fridge, but now that I have my own fridge means anything that I put inside is not for him! Not allowed to take or eat!!! Wahahaha *evil laughters*

In the mini fridge was a Coach wristlet, OPI nail polish set & Loreal eye cream(which I totally forgotten about it until I saw the last pic!) !!!

The Coach wristlet is super useful for an O.L like me! Can bring it to lunch, but currently using the one my elder brother and his gf, Shixuan gave one. Don't worry friends, I will confirm use it!

As for the OPI set & Loreal eye cream, I've started using it already! :)

I'm planning to use the fridge next year. I need to revamp my room and find a space for it!

My masks and chocolates will all be in my "paparagi" fridge! :)

Really grateful for it as the cleaning up was not easy as well! Washing up all the cutlery and putting everything back in place. Esp, washing the chocolate fountain was super tedious!

It was really an awesome night because everyone I invited were closed to me. Not anyone that I felt like I have to "entertain". All friends are somehow related or know each other so not that awkward like total strangers among them.

Food were alright, desserts were great, environment was good.

Everything went passed like the blink of an eye. The night was over, my birthday was over & I had gotten my key to freedom, age of 21 now.

I hope I had thank everyone that helped out & for the presents as well.

Really late update, but I'm still not uploading pictures for my actual birthday party.

This is just gonna be a PRE- 21st birthday post.

I thought it will be great to share a little on what happened before the actual day itself.

For those who came to my birthday will know that it was held at ...

NSRCC, National Service Resort and Country Club

It was kinda hard to access to the place but it's a nicer place as compared to any other chalets out there, other than Singyee's 21st birthday chalet. Nothing beats her birthday venue, seriously!

Anyway, back to my chalet, everything was pretty new.

Living room with TV, DVD player

Dining area which is super close to the BBQ pit, just a door away

Fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, utensil, microwave oven & etc.

Two rooms & one toilet located at the second level

Last but not least mahjong table & mahjong set!

Something that is not very new is the WALLS, left with marks of scotch tape or whatever tapes for decoration purposes left by previous user

also the rooms... not super nice but acceptable.

The whole place was enclosed by glass which I don't really like because there is no sense of privacy so we drew up almost all the curtains!

It was getting late & we only started decorating the place at about 3am?!

The wall was too low and can barely see the words if I were to stand there.

Super tired and playing around with the words, but luckily everything turned out well!

By the time we were done with the decoration, it was near to 5am and all of us went home to catch some sleep before waking up to prepare MORE stuff for the actual day!

It was just a simply night which I spend with my close friends, Singyee, Vonne & Weekiat.

My parents and younger brother did dropped by to have the BBQ food and went home around 11pm.

Elder brother and his gf came at 12 plus, slacked around and 'look after' the chalet after we left at 5am.

Thanks to these people making a great night and with all the help, a successful 21st party on the next day! :)

It was a rushing day for us. We had to catch our flight at around 7pm that night.

I think we were all tired and that's why Fennie & Chris overslept on that day.

Yvonne & I went to get breakfast for all of us while the two of them bathed and get prepared.

Yvonne & I had famous and yummy beef noodles just around the corner from our hotel.

Bought 炸酱面 for the two of them and also additional wanton soup to share.

We were so rushing so no pictures for the whole morning :(

We were all rushing because we had to check out before 12pm.

We left our luggages in the hotel and head out to Longshan Temple...

Following the people brought us to Longshan Temple easily! :)

It's quite a huge crowd in the temple even though it is a Tuesday.

I'm not a person who will go temple very often, but I found something rather interesting.

We went in the temple and were looking for the incense. We followed people and saw the person giving out incense. We were given 7 sticks of incense each and thinking why 7?!

In the end we realized there is seven different 'pots' for the incense in the temple.

Is this common in all temples or Sg?

After Longshan Temple, we went back to Ximending for the last round of shopping.

There were some things that we wanted to buy but we had serious problem of overweight luggages.

Bought a little more stuff and also yummy Ah Zhong Mian Xian to eat when we reached airport.

We called Mr Mountain (the driver who brought us to Jiufen) to send us to airport. His charges is definitely cheaper than the rates the hotel had offered. Hotel rates are around NT1200, but we only paid him NT900! Good deal! :)

See our luggages! Came with 4 luggages, went back with 6 luggages plus 2 big 'plastic' bag (Elmo & Leopard) and Chris's blue hand carry! I even used my pink Adidas bag to some of the things as well!

We reached at 4.45pm when our flight is 7.10pm! Hahaha! Kiasu!

We were all still happily waiting for time to pass before we can check in at 5.20pm until......

Our luggages overweight when we were checking in.

Situation was....

All the 4 big luggages were checked in. The Elmo bag overweight so we were told to remove some things from it, but the whole Elmo bag was filled with ALL masks and cup noodles!

Then we were told that masks contained liquid so can't hand carry up the flight. So how?!!

Then we asked to have our big luggages back so that we put the masks into our luggages and take out some of the things we bought (like clothes, shoes...) BUT our luggages all went down!!! No way to take it back! :( All we can do is to do a little switching of things here and there from our hand carry and paid the additional baggage fee which cost total NT42000, SGD$45 EACH!!!

I should totally blame the hotline that we were given before we came to Taiwan. The hotline is for buying extra baggage but the number didn't work! So we got no way but to pay for the extra fees!

This is our receipt for extra 7kg of baggage. It was actually 8kg but the lady at the check in counter was SUPER nice! She saw us struggling with our luggage and she helped us to cheat 1kg of it! Really have to thank her! :) Taiwanese are really nice people! :)

When we were waiting to board our flight, one of the airport attendant walked to us and said due to the huge amount of hand carry luggages, we will help you to check in your luggages for FREE! Damn it lo.. If we knew this was going to happen, we wouldn't had paid that $45 to check in that Elmo bag!!!

See that Doritos? They were all laughing at me because I insisted on taking it from the hotel room even though we barely have space for it! But it's free!!! Hahaha! :) We were all famished by 7pm! From the morning till 7pm, I only had the beef noodles plus half of Ah Zhong Mian Xian!

I was so hungry that I ordered a curry chicken rice on the plane.

Cost freaking SGD$8 and it's quite little...

When we touched down Sg, we sorted out our things, Chris & Yvonne left first.

Fennie & I went to had Burger King and chatted about our trip before going home.

It's a very long trip, 8 Days 7 Nights.

A little summary of total expenditure.

Took Jetstar, ~$450 inclusive of extra leg space.

Cityinn Plus Hotel, $250 for 7 nights.

Expenses, $1200
Total Expenditure = $1900

All places are fun and good! Taiwanese are very polite and they provides very good services.

Most of the food are yummy and cheap! Clothing are more casual and that is why I didn't buy a lot.

WHAT IS THE THING I MISSED THE MOST IN TAIWAN?

What's up for Day Seven?

小人国 - Window on China

Did I mention everyone in Taiwan keep to the right on the escalator?

They do that 80% of the time, it's not like Sg. Sometimes people won't bother keeping to the left in Sg.

We took a train to Jing-an Station 景安站 and have to take an hr long bus to Window on China.

Coming out of the station, we saw a sushi shop and rushed in to grab some food. In fact I think we bought quite a lot...

Tadah! Our brunch! :)

We bought 2 rice boxes and many sushi!!!

Fennie & I actually brought the same bag we bought in Ximending! :) #Random

Thought that the salmon were cooked just by looking at the colour of it but IT'S NOT! :(

Raw salmon... Anyway, saw the cute orange 'balls' in the bowl??? Those are yummy!!!

When you bite it, juice will squirt out in your mouth! :)

This is the place we have to wait for the bus.

The bus will bring you to either Window on China or Leofoo Village Park.

We wanted to go to both places but realized that it was quite late when we reached Jing-an Station and after having our sushi, it was nearly 2pm.

While waiting for the bus, cam-whore time! :)

Anyway, I swear that we waited for so damn long for the bus to come!!! I think at least an hour!

This is just like probably 1/5 of the total amount of photos we took while waiting for the bus to come, so you can imagine how long we had waited...

The bus journey is about an hour.

Please take note, you don't have to top up your easy card (ez-link) to pay for THIS bus.

The bus will stop somewhere for all passengers to buy the tickets to Window on China or Leofoo Village Theme Park plus the bus tickets.

We were quite shocked by the price of the tickets.

Total cost us about NT800 over each. Quite exp but impossible for us not to go because the bus is stopping at some weird places... So in the end we chose Window on China only since it is cheaper!

Finally reached and all of us had a good nap in the bus! :)

Anyway, I spent quite awhile to figure out how do I use the below tap!

I even pressed the white circle thing stupidly! :( Totally clueless!

You know how to use??? Hahaha!

Quite stupid design, bcos what if the person's hand is dirty then she will make the sides of the tap dirty too! Not very hygienic...

The structures of all the miniatures are really amazing. They are miniature but in quite a large scale and very detailed!

Yvonne bought a new burger from their KFC.

No bread, the bread is replace by chicken... Not nice too. Hahaha :)

Since it's the last night so spent quite a bit of time packing and sorting out all the things.

We did very crazy things will going to lobby to weigh our luggages in the midnight like 3plus am!

I'm back blogging about Taiwan Day 6! Had been busy with my 21st birthday party stuff.

To start off our day, we went to Modern Toilet Restaurant to had our lunch.

Rmb me saying that we tried to search for this restaurant and by the time we found it, it was closed?

We went back for it!

We waited for an hour before getting a seat there.

Anyway, from the name of the restaurant, you should be able to tell it is actually a toilet themed restaurant. So check out the place and food below!

The place used basin & bath tubs as table top and toilet bowls as the seats.

Even the lights were made up of 'shit'.

You have to use a marker to write down your orders on the menu and pay at the cashier.

You can take a blue card from the cashier counter to write down some words and throw it in the bath tub or basin tables. Pretty cool!

Here comes our soup! :) And our cutlery in the yellow bag.

We paid additional NT33 for it and we brought it back home! :)

I had never expected the food to be nice, but it was surprisingly good.

It is not as bad as what I thought and the serving is huge too!

Price is not expensive too, probably around NT300, about SGD$13 for soup, main dish, ice cream and a drink!

Anw, the location is very hard to find. It is located in a small alley.

I had super poor memory. I can't rmb what we did in the afternoon because from the photos I had, it directly shows our next meal which is dinner time!!! OMG! It's all about food!

Anyway, what's up for dinner???

It is a little hard to find this because it is located in one small alley again...

But you just need a little bit of time and patience to spot it. It is really worth the time traveling there to have a meal!

Mr Qute which is also opened by Jay Chou is right beside Mr J.

They are actually link within the two restaurant. Mr Qute sells only dessert however kinda disappointed with it. See below to know why...

There is a second level sitting, however didn't take picture of it. BUT, you can see the reflection of the second level from the picture below! Hahahaha! :)

Fennie crazy over Jay again...

We wanted to order pizza, but somehow we ordered a wrong one.

From the way we see it, we thought it is a skinny pizza, but turned out to be.....

Quite a unique 'pizza'! Hahaha! But anyway, luckily it doesn't taste bad. It was quite alright. *Phew*

It is the first time in my life having risotto and I'm missing it now...

Seafood Risotto, very yummy!!! :)

I conclude that I'm in love with Italian food... I love pasta and now I love risotto!

Side dish with 3 choices- Calamari, Fries and Chicken Wing.

Calamari and fries were good, but the chicken wing is way too spicy for me! :(

We shared all the food together and felt that it was not very filling so ordered a 'real' pizza! Hahaha:)

The pizza came in a thin crust and it was yummy too!!!

Through an internal opening, we went over to Mr Qute to see what dessert can we have.

They used to sell very nice fruit tarts...but now....

We just ordered two random cakes as desserts.

Nothing special for their cakes, don't bother ordering it if you go there.

In comparison of both Mr J Restaurants, without hesitating I will come to this outlet which is located near Sun Yat Sun Memorial Hall Station 國父紀念館站.

The only good thing at the university is the piano and environment which is nicer, but in terms of food, this outlet definitely offers more choices!

I will definitely go back to this outlet when I'm going Taiwan again! :)

The guys on the extreme left and right are real human, not mannequin.

When I walked past, I didn't realized it until I saw people stopping in front of the shop and talking about it.

Highly raved crepes but I'm disappointed with it...

We ordered one banana with chocolate and strawberry with something else...

But the person gave us chocolate ice cream with no banana and strawberry with whipped cream!!!

We were hoping that the banana is at the bottom but NO BANANA!

Strawberry doesn't comes with ice cream just whipped cream, BOO!

I prefer the BKK crepe at Platinium Food Court much more than this!

Perhaps the person made a mistake in our order or what, if I'm back there again, I will probably give it a try again...

As usual, we bought some food back hotel to eat and end our day...
